We have several events this weekend at Linden Hill:
Thursday at 8 am: Jerry Fritz will be on The Martha Stewart Morning Living Radio Show (on Sirius 112 and XM 157). Tune in for excellent advice and tips on planning a new garden.
Friday 4pm-8pm: The Ottsville Farmers Market
Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4 pm: OUTRAGEOUS ANNUALS. Now is the time to liven up perennial beds and containers with exotic and dramatic annuals. An outlandish, bold combination is Gunnera manicata with iresine herbstii and passiflora. You can see this in person in the new ‘Shutter Planters’ at Linden Hill.
Saturday night from 7 pm to 10 pm: BEE there for a special engagement and screening of ‘Queen of the Sun-What are the Bees Telling Us?’
This is a great opportunity to join the highly respected and internationally known Bee Keeper, Gunther Hauk , for a screening of the recently released film “Queen of the Sun” directed by Taggart Siegel (of “The Real Dirt On Farmer John” fame). Gunther is featured in this award winning documentary along with other well- known champions of “Apis Mellifera”, otherwise know as the Honey Bee. Author of “Towards Saving the Honey Bee”, Gunther will be available to answer questions and share his Honey Bee wisdom with those who attend! Pre show- beverages and honey centric refreshments will be served. Catered by River Nymph Caterers. Suggested donation $25 to $40.
